Amon Amarth，是1988年成立的一个乐队，来自于瑞典通巴。来自瑞典通巴。乐队风格是Death Metal（死亡金属）Heavy Metal（重金属）Scandinavian Metal（斯堪的纳维亚金属）。1988年组建时命名为Scum，1992年，乐队更名为Amon Amarth。1993年乐队发行了第一张Demo《Thor Arise》。1994年乐队发行了第二张Demo《The Arrival of the Fimbul Winter》，限量1000张，在不到12个小时内销售一空。2张Demo后，乐队终于签约新加坡著名极端金属公司Pulverised Records，并于1996年发行了首张MCD《Sorrow Throughout the Nine Worlds》，卖出6000张。之后乐队签约老牌死亡金属公司Metal Blade Records，并于1998年发行了首张大碟《Once Sent from the Golden Hall》，大受欢迎。从此名扬世界！
